A

  • All-in

    When a player bets all their remaining chips on a single hand, committing their entire stack to the pot.

  • Ante

    A small mandatory bet every player contributes before a hand begins to help build the pot.

B

  • Bad beat

    When a strong hand loses to an even stronger one in an unlikely or unexpected way.

  • Blinds

    Forced bets posted by players to the left of the dealer that start the action in a hand.

  • Bluff

    A bet or raise made with a weak hand to convince opponents to fold stronger ones.
